Roni Lynn Deutch the Tax Lady Answers
America’s tax lady, Ronnie Lynn Deutch, reaches out to all inquiring American taxpayers through her blog. She does a weekly feature entitled “Ask the Tax Lady,” where she gathers and answers several questions from her readers and followers from Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace.
Ronnie Lynn Deutch posts any random tax questions as well as those questions that are asked to her directly. On her July 20th blog post, she answered several questions regarding the release of IRS levy, the tax legalities of a business on eBay, restaurant sales tax as well as the tax day.
The first question was regarding the IRS levy and how to have it released. In turn, Ronnie Lynn Deutch laid out six incidences that would lead the IRS to release a levy. As for the question regarding the legalities on an eBay business, Ronnie Deutch said that businesses on eBay must be treated just like any other home businesses in the sense that all income earned from eBay must be reported to the IRS. However, this rule only applies to the products that are made and sold for profit and not for products that have been bought, used, and resold.
The tax lady had also answered trivial questions such as “when did April 15 become tax day?” as well as a question regarding whether Schaumburg has the highest sales tax rate in the nation or not.
